From September 26–28, Crandon Park’s Biscayne Bay becomes home to the Youth Southeast Dinghy Sailing Championship. Young sailors, aged 7 to 18, expertly navigate tiny Lasers, Optimists, and Club 420s across sparkling bay lanes. Flags flutter, instructors steer, and parents stand on hot sand cheering as boats drift and pivot with rhythm and resolve. The day is framed by sailcloth and sunshine, the sea scattering diamonds under each turn.

It’s not jostling crowds but focused faces, wind-filled sails, and the quiet determination of youth. After soaking in the determination and salt-scented air, stepping back inside your RocketStay apartment feels like being wrapped in cool tranquility—deck chair-ready, towel-dried, and heart-warm from the youthful courage witnessed. September in Key Biscayne is made more meaningful when you pause to celebrate the next generation—and you’ve got the perfect vantage point to do just that.
